Avatar of Grenth - Maybe time for a buff?
I personally like the appearance of avatar of grenth the best of all the avatars, but I find that it's effect is not nearly as useful as the other 4. Balthazar gives great armor and running speed helps a lot too. Melandru gives immunity to conditions and a huge boost to max health. Lyssa gives great bonus damage and a max energy boost. Dwayna gives healing and has hex removal. But all Grenth really gives is enchantment removal. While this could be useful for PvP or in areas where you know the enemies use a lot of enchants, I don't think it's generally as useful as it's counterparts. Any thoughts, or am I seeing this wrongly?

It's definetly my favorite form, in PvP it truely does shine with its massive Enchantment removal.

Buff? It's certainly one of the most powerfull forms, along with melandrus. Lyssa's too conditional, dwayna's is self defense, balthazar is easy to counter; grenth's enchantment removal is really to put some panic in pressure moments in the matches, I even think there should be a -3% health loss for enchantment removed (just my opinion).

Speaking from a PvE view. A dervish using Grenth can take out enchantments on casters fairly quickly making them easy prey.

You must be crazy, because Grenth is by far the best form.

Grenth is nearly overpowered in PvP. Dont ask me about PvE, but in PvP, a nerf may be coming.

There's more to GuildWars than doing damage and killing things.

The Scythe rate of hit is one hits each 1.75 seconds.
Add a skill to prevent Evasion and Blocking.
Add a skill to interrupt on cold damage.
Add a skill to increase the hit rate.
And you have a Enchantment Eating machine.

I think what he means is that every form has two benefits, while this one has... well one, powerful, but it still lacks a secondary effect.

It has two:
Enchantment removal and Ice damage.
Most Eles are Fire based. So Ice damage will probably find less good armor.
Additionally, this will trigger the effect of interrumption necromancer skills.

Elemental dmg means that u deal dmg to warriors like they had 80 armor (20 less then normal). Plus no1 uses armor that gives armor to ice.
And oh my god man, i consider it a little overpowered compared to the other ones, because you can make one prot monk completly useless, oh yea... ANY enchantment useless.

Not everything is balanced between PVP and PVE. don't try to do it either, there's no point. Just accept that some skills are useful in PVE and some are more useful to PVP. If you don't believe me, go ahead and bring Otyugh's Cry or a minion master in PVP, then come to PVE and try out some Energy Denial builds for example. Not exactly useful making a random mob enemy lose all it's energy if it's just going to die, and not useful being a minion master in PVP since there's a lack in corpses. It's not the same kind of gameplay, and shouldn't be viewed as such.

I guess if you want to count the ice damage, then Melandru and Balthazar would have 3 benefits.... it just seems odd to me, iono.

A mm can be used in pvp with thumpers, just summon some minions from the dead pets(when they eventually die), and cast jagged bones on both... Ive seen some matches where people do just that.
